The Job

I am a restaurant manager at T.G.I Friday’s Prestwich. I manage the front of house, so I look after the bar, the door and the staff – so I am responsible for ensuring that, on a daily basis, those guys are taken care of and that they’re coached and developed and are being supported.

My restaurant takes 3.5 million pounds a year so I am there to help manage that business which is an amazing job, it’s a great task.

The Support

Fridays have been known for years to be an industry leader at training and developing their teams. They hire people based on pride, passion and personality and that is something that we all believe in. There are always opportunities for people to grow within the company. We are all hired because we are all different. Some people have different strengths than others and some people have different weaknesses, so we all balance each other out.

The Perks

I love my job and I love what I do. You cannot understand how nice the people are here to work here. Our achievements are recognised. Our DO is constantly sending email to the store and whole region to say well done. He constantly recognises us and praises us when we have done a good job

It’s nice to go to work and actually enjoy your job.

The Top Tip

Be energetic but more importantly be yourself. Make sure that you are proud and passionate about what you do. You have to be positive in everything you do.
