The job

I’ve been working at Friday’s for 5 years, most of it on the door. It’s the best! You get to meet absolutely EVERYONE who comes into the restaurant. You have to do it with a smile on your face, but it’s such a bubbly and lively place you can’t help it! The place and the people really pick you up.

The team

It’s a big team and we’re all pretty close, so there’s always someone around to help you out with anything. We all went out the other night for one of the boy’s birthdays. We have two regular pubs we go to and they both offer us discounts!

The perks

Friday’s is a great company to work for. I even really like my managers! The hours are really flexible and I’ve never had a problem asking for time off. Last year I went travelling for 6 months, working in a bar in Spain. Friday’s took me back on when I came home. They really look after you when you do a good job.

The future

I’m actually training to become a driving instructor in my spare time. When I qualify I’ll probably still work here part time, I love it and the money’s good.

Top tip

It’s not as easy as it looks! It is a really fun job, but it can be demanding too.
